Hillcrest Trustees Consider Regional Police Department

HILLCREST — Village trustees on Wednesday discussed the possibility of forming a Hillcrest police department, potentially in partnership with other nearby communities. Village President Richard Rhodes said the concept could help smaller towns share law enforcement resources. The board also heard reports from trustees on community programs, including a planned Halloween event on Oct. 24 at the village park, for which candy donations are being accepted.
