Hillcrest Approves New Ordinance Tracking System

HILLCREST  — The Hillcrest Village Board approved spending up to $1,200 last week to create a cloud based ordinance tracking system and purchase equipment for the village’s as yet to be hired ordinance officer. Trustees said the system will store violation records, photos, and property history while meeting public records requirements. The board also continued work on updated property maintenance and noise ordinances, including possible fines for repeat violations. Trustees also tabled a decision on a proposed $14,000 drainage project at the village salt shed storage site while they review possible environmental concerns and other options.
