The Guardians walked off the White Sox 6-5 to open their four-game series in Cleveland. Brayan Rocchio ended the game with a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning. David Fry also went deep with a solo blast. Cleveland has now won back to back games.
Grant Taylor was tagged with the loss after allowing two runs on one hit and two walks.
Chase Meidroth had a 2-run home run for the White Sox.
Chicago has now dropped two in a row.
The White Sox and Guardians are tied for first place in the AL Central Division.
Game 2 in the series is Friday night in Cleveland.
