Freeport Soldiers Return From Alaska Security Mission

FREEPORT — About 65 Soldiers from the Freeport based 333rd Military Police Company have returned from Fort Greely, Alaska, after a months long mission guarding missile defense assets through extreme cold and limited daylight. The unit deployed in September 2024 and stood down in July after completing security duties, major evaluations and training that included medical simulation work, close quarters drills, combatives and the Norwegian Foot March, with one Soldier winning the battalion’s Best Warrior Competition.
