FRANKLIN GROVE — A 36-year-old Franklin Grove man was arrested after Lee County deputies executed a search warrant Tuesday at 1584 Route 38, where investigators say they found a stolen lawn mower and several firearms. John MB Malovich was charged with possession of cocaine, three counts of possession of a firearm without a FOID card, and theft between $500 and $10,000. Malovich, who has a prior domestic battery conviction, was released under provisions of the Illinois SAFE-T Act. Authorities said the investigation began with a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the property just before the search. He is next due in court on September 3rd.
