FORRESTON — Forreston Sauerkraut Days begins tonight with the Kids Fun Run, 5K Run Walk and a fireworks show at Forreston High School, opening four days of family activities, food, music and community events. The festival continues through Sunday with food vendors, inflatables, face painting, bingo, live music, a bags tournament, the Drew Crase Memorial 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, the FFA Car and Bike Show, a parade and the traditional firefighter community breakfast.
“We try to have something for everybody from the kids to the adults to the young at heart people. So, yeah, it’s always a fun event,” Sauerkraut Days Chairperson Jane Koeller said.
Koeller said the festival has grown steadily since returning about eight years ago and continues to offer activities for all ages.
