SOMONAUK – Two drivers were injured Monday afternoon in a crash at Somonauk Road and Perry Road in DeKalb County. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reported that a 40-year-old Yorkville driver allegedly failed to stop at a southbound stop sign and collided with a westbound van driven by 50-year-old Earlville man. Both vehicles ended up in a south ditch. The Yorkville driver had to be extricated by fire personnel. Both drivers were taken to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital with minor injuries. The Yorkville driver was also cited for disobeying a stop sign.
