Dog Dies, Homeowner Hurt In Sterling House Fire

STERLING –  One dog is dead and a homeowner is hurt after a house fire in Sterling.  Fire officials say the blaze broke out early yesterday at a home in the 900 block of Locust Street.  The homeowner was taken to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.  The home sustained heavy fire and smoke damage, and no foul play is suspected.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
