Yoshinobu Yamamoto had a no-hit bid going into the 9th inning Saturday as the L.A. Dodgers beat the Chicago White Sox 7-1.
Yamamoto retired the first 23 batter he faced before an error on a ground ball in the 8th inning.
The no-hitter ended when Tristian Peters leadoff the 9th inning with a home run.
Max Muncy had 2 home runs and 4 RBI for the Dodgers. Shohei Ohtani also hit a leadoff homer in the first inning.
The White Sox had won 8 consecutive home games prior to the loss.
The rubber game in the series is Sunday afternoon at Rate Field.
