DIXON — A 28-year-old Dixon man was arrested Wednesday on felony charges after an investigation into alleged threatening communications regarding data center development were sent to former Illinois State Representative Tom Demmer. Police said Harley R. Delander was charged Wednesday with intimidation and stalking. The Dixon Police Department said the investigation began after officers received information about messages allegedly sent by Delander through email and social media. Investigators said the messages and conduct reportedly caused concern for the safety of Demmer and his family. Demmer currently serves as President of the Lee County Industrial Development Association. The LCIDA website features information about opportunities to relocate or build businesses in Lee County, including details on a potential data center project located on 387 acres near Rock Falls.
