DIXON — Deputy Chief Simonton was presented the Life Saving Award at the Dixon city council meeting last week for saving a man’s life back in October. Off-duty and with his family, Simonton performed the Heimlich maneuver on a man who was choking, successfully preventing a fatal incident.
