DeKalb Launches New Bill Payment System December 1

DEKALB — The City of DeKalb will begin using a new bill payment system December 1, offering online, phone, in-person, and mail payment options for utility and other city bills. Customers using online accounts or autopay must re-register their information between December 1 and December 12. One-time online payments can still be made with an e-check or debit or credit card, while phone payments will be available through a new number, 815-745-5509. In-person payments can be made at City Hall, and payments by mail or drop box remain available. Convenience fees will be adjusted to 2.8 percent plus 50 cents for card payments and $1.95 for bank account payments, while check or cash payments and customers with prior authorization forms and voided checks will continue with no fees.
