SYCAMORE – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reported traffic enforcement from November 21 to December 2 as part of the statewide Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaigns. Deputies focused on seat-belt use, speeding, distracted driving, and alcohol- and drug-impaired driving, including cannabis. During the effort, officers issued eight speeding citations, 26 seat-belt citations, two electronic device citations, one DUI arrest, nine other traffic citations, and made two traffic arrests. The campaign was supported by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
