DEKALB — The DeKalb City Council approved a $53,400 agreement with artist Elisa Boughner to install a permanent lighting and art display in the downtown pedestrian pass-through between 235 and 229 E. Lincoln Highway. The project will feature 15 aluminum luminarias with Edison-style bulbs and colorful powder-coated designs, enhancing safety and creating a visual centerpiece for the walkway. The installation is part of the city’s America250 DeKalb initiative celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary and is scheduled for completion by June 15th.
