DeKalb Council Approves $6,378 Economic Incentive for Downtown Restaurant

DEKALB — The DeKalb City Council approved an Architectural Improvement Program reimbursement of $6,378.88 for Class Six, a restaurant and charcuterie at 214 E. Lincoln Highway. Owner Tom Sherman replaced a large walk-in cooler refrigeration system that failed during the December holiday season, with total repair and replacement costs of $12,757.76. The reimbursement covers 50 percent of the emergency electrical and HVAC expenses to help keep the business operational.
