DEKALB — The 49th annual DeKalb Corn Fest opens Friday in downtown DeKalb for three days of live music, carnival rides, food vendors and family activities. The free festival runs through Sunday along Lincoln Highway between First and Fourth streets and features more than 80 craft, business and food vendors. Friday’s Sound Stage lineup includes Austin Hopkins at 5 p.m., Kashmir at 6:30 p.m. and 7th Heaven at 9 p.m. Carnival rides and games will also be available throughout the weekend. Admission to the festival grounds, craft area and community stages is free.
