DAVIS JUNCTION – The Davis Junction administrative board last month looked into structural concerns regarding water seepage at the new community park pavilion restroom. They reported that although the concrete slab was poured flat per the original design, construction deviations caused water to pool against walls and flow into the building interior. Members evaluated several repair strategies such as saw cutting the perimeter to install flashing, adding a sloped surface to redirect runoff, or performing a full slab replacement. The board rejected previous temporary fixes like caulking and directed the contractor to provide a solution that ensures proper drainage and long term structural integrity. They noted that the repair must include a one year warranty to protect the village from future maintenance costs or water damage.
