CORTLAND – The Cortland Village Board of Trustees reviewed a proposal last week to purchase a 2026 Ford Explorer for the police department from Tera Ford for up to $59,000. The board received two bids, with the Tera Ford offer slightly higher than a competing bid from Hamblock Ford, but the purchase was recommended due to the dealership’s proximity, service options including loaner vehicles, and local economic benefits. The vehicle would be funded from the FY25/26 budget and includes standard state contract pricing, fees, and discounts. The Trustees voted to move forward with the purchase.
