ROCKFORD — The Winnebago County Coroner has named the 52-year-old man who died last week in a Rockford house fire. Edward Hammonds Junior was killed in the blaze Friday morning along with his dog, Bear, in the 2700 block of Horton Street. The cause of the fire hasn’t been released.
