CHANA — The Rock River Valley Blood Center is hosting a community blood drive today at Chana United Methodist Church, 606 North Main Street in Chana, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The center said it provides blood for 14 area hospitals and relies on steady donor turnout to maintain supply levels. Donors are asked to bring a photo ID. Maggie Anderson said summer months often bring lower donation levels even as medical need remains steady.
Anderson said, “We are grateful for every donor who shows up because each donation directly supports patients in our hospitals. The need does not slow down during the summer, and community support is essential.”
