BYRON – The City of Byron is seeking public input on plans for a new multi use path as it prepares to apply for an Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program grant through the Illinois Department of Transportation. The proposed path would expand the city’s existing network, with the city’s updated comprehensive plan showing public support for more north-south connections. The city also has received interest in a path along North Barker Road. The project would require coordination with multiple taxing bodies. The proposed route would cross Mill Road west of the planned roundabout. Residents can complete a short survey to provide feedback on the proposed path.
