Byron Officials Say Barker Road Bike Path Faces Big Hurdles

BYRON — A proposed bike path along Barker Road connecting neighborhoods to Byron schools remains in early planning, but city officials say costs and logistics make funding unlikely. City Engineer Jason Stoll said the project could reach $2.5 million to $3 million once stormwater, drainage, and grant requirements are included. Officials said the city, school district, and engineer are willing to collaborate, but no formal timeline is set.
