ROCHELLE — A number of area law enforcement agencies are reminding drivers to stay sober, buckle up, and follow traffic laws during Halloween festivities. Police will focus on stopping impaired and unsafe driving as children and families take to the streets after dark. Officials warn that driving under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or drugs is illegal and dangerous, and seat belt use is required for all occupants. The enforcement effort is part of statewide campaigns supported by the Illinois Department of Transportation to reduce crashes and promote road safety during the fall season.
