CHICAGO — Ameren is partnering with the Energy Assistance Foundation to expand bill payment help for customers as energy costs remain high across Illinois. The foundation committed an additional $2 million to support households through the Warm Neighbors Cool Friends program, which offers up to $500 in assistance to qualifying customers in Ameren Illinois service areas. Eligible households must have made a matching payment within the past 45 days and meet income guidelines based on federal poverty levels or county median income. The program is designed to help families maintain safe and comfortable homes during extreme winter and summer weather.
