ROCHELLE— The city of Rochelle’s 2026 budget sets aside $32.2 million for capital projects, including street and alley improvements, stormwater upgrades, electric distribution projects, and water reclamation programs. Additional funds are allocated for airport hangar construction and technology upgrades at the tech center, according to details shared during the Monday night Budget Workshop held at Rochelle City Hall. The budget also supports community events, the municipal band, fireworks, the Senior Center, and the Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival, while TIF revenues continue to fund road improvements and debt repayment.
