PAW PAW – Illinois State Police are investigating a fatal single vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 39 near milepost 82 in Lee County. Troopers responded at approximately 5:24 a.m. Sunday and one individual was pronounced dead after being ejected from the vehicle. Southbound traffic was diverted to Chicago Road until approximately 9:22 a.m. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information has been released.
