The win was also over former Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville.
Frank Nazar had the other goal for the Blackhawks who are 3-0-1 in their last 4 games.
Spencer Knight had 38 saves for Chicago.
Mason McTavish had the goal for the Ducks.
The Blackhawks return to the ice on Thursday night at Tampa Bay.
