Ogle County Sheriff Reports Fourth of July Traffic Enforcement Results

OREGON  — The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office made five impaired driving arrests, including alcohol and cannabis related cases, during Fourth of July traffic enforcement campaigns that ran from June 19 through July 6. Deputies also issued two seat belt citations, 12 citations for driving while a license was revoked or suspended, 22 citations for no insurance, 16 speeding citations and six citations for no valid driver’s license. The enforcement effort was part of statewide traffic safety campaigns involving more than 200 law enforcement agencies across Illinois. The campaigns were funded through federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
