MONROE CENTER – A 28-year-old Monroe Center man was arrested Friday after the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office investigated a disturbance in the 300 block of Pacific Street. Deputies were called around 5:30 p.m. after receiving a report that the man had allegedly brandished a sword. Following an investigation, deputies arrested Joseph A. Myers on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail pending a pretrial release hearing.
