SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency announced $20 million in funding for new electric vehicle charging stations through the state’s Rebuild Illinois capital plan. The Climate and Equitable Jobs Act program will support installation of Level 2 and Level 3 chargers at publicly accessible locations statewide. Applications open Nov. 17 on a first-come, first-served basis through the Amplifund portal. Eligible applicants must own or co-own proposed sites, and projects in Equity Investment Eligible Communities may receive additional funding.
