SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul joined the Federal Trade Commission and a bipartisan group of twelve state attorneys general to file a lawsuit attempting to stop PlayPower from acquiring BCI Burke. Regulators allege that merging two of the largest commercial outdoor playground manufacturers in the United States would lessen market competition, leading to higher equipment prices and reduced product quality for schools, churches, and municipal park departments across the country.
