ROCHELLE — A local group of senior citizens who meet weekly for dinner is showing support for community history by purchasing commemorative “We The People” T-shirts tied to the United States 250th anniversary through the Flagg Township Museum. The shirts were made available through a grant from the Rochelle Area Community Foundation and produced by 926 Crafted Apparel. Group members said the effort was a way to support the museum while continuing their tradition of gathering at local restaurants. The museum is using proceeds from the limited edition shirts to fund exhibits, education programs, and preservation work connected to the anniversary celebration. Museum Director Jan Devore said the group’s support highlights strong community involvement in local history efforts. The Flagg Township Museum is open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
