ROCKFORD — A 19-year-old Rockford man accused of breaking the windshield of a vehicle displaying an Israeli flag is charged with a hate crime. Police say Mohammad Abuhmoud pulled up to the victim’s vehicle Sunday at South Mulford Road and Harrison Avenue in Rockford. He yelled an antisemitic slur before throwing an object at the victim’s vehicle. Abumoud was arrested and charged with Hate Crime and Criminal Damage to Property.
