ROCKFORD – The Rockford Central DMV has reopened following renovations and is now operating as the first One Stop Shop DMV in the Rockford metropolitan area. Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias unveiled the renovated facility last week at 3720 E. State St. The location is the 28th One Stop Shop DMV in Illinois, where employees are cross trained to handle both driver and vehicle services at a single counter. Services include driver’s license and REAL ID applications and renewals, title and registration services, driving tests and license plate sticker renewals. The facility temporarily closed July 24 for renovations, with a temporary location established nearby during the work.
