Rochelle junior Abigail Smith is the champion this year at the Interstate 8 Conference Girls Golf Tournament held at Sycamore Golf Course.
Smith shot a 90 for 18 holes. That was 2 shots better than Emma Kuntsman of Kaneland and Charlie Slusarek of LaSalle-Peru.
Smith is the first girls conference champion at RTHS since Megan Thiravong in 2019.
Rochelle did not have enough golfers to compete as a team at the conference tournament.
