MT. MORRIS – A blood drive will be held today from noon to 5 p.m. at Allure of Pinecrest, 414 S. Wesley Ave. in Mt. Morris. The Rock River Valley Blood Center is seeking whole blood donors to help supply area hospitals.
Maggie Anderson, Donor Recruiter for the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said it is vital that people participate.
“Every donation can make a difference for patients receiving care in our region,” Anderson said. “Taking time to donate is a simple way for eligible community members to help others.”
Donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with signed parental consent, and weigh at least 110 pounds. One whole blood donation can provide components that help save up to three lives.
