Oregon Methodist Church Blood Drive Tuesday

OREGON – A blood drive will be held Tuesday from noon to 5 p.m. at Oregon United Methodist Church, 200 S. Fourth St. in Oregon. The Rock River Valley Blood Center is seeking whole blood donors for regional hospitals. Maggie Anderson, Donor Recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said that lives can’t be saved without help from the public.

“Donating blood is a short process that can provide an important resource for patients,” Anderson said. “We are grateful to the people who give their time to help keep the blood supply available.”

Donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with signed parental consent, and weigh at least 110 pounds. Whole blood can be donated every 56 days, up to six times a year, and one donation can help save up to three lives.
