Ogle County Approves Two Year Electricity Contract

OREGON – The Ogle County Board approved a new two year electricity aggregation contract Tuesday with MC2 at a rate of 9.65 cents per kilowatt hour. Rock River Energy Services managing partner Mike Mudge, who advised the county on the contract, is a licensed energy broker in Illinois and Texas. The current county rate of 8.95 cents per kilowatt hour remains in effect through May 2027. The new rate will begin with customer meter readings in May 2027. The county’s aggregation program serves more than 3,600 customers in areas outside Rochelle Municipal Utilities. Customers may opt out of the program at enrollment or at any time during the contract without a termination fee.
