Mt. Morris Blood Drive Thursday

MT. MORRIS – A blood drive will be held Thursday, Sept. 24, from noon to 5 p.m. at Allure of Pinecrest, 414 S. Wesley Ave. in Mt. Morris. The Rock River Valley Blood Center will collect whole blood donations for area hospitals. “Local blood drives are an important way to keep blood available for patients who need it,” said Maggie Anderson, Marketing and Recruitment Specialist with the Rock River Valley Blood Center. “We hope eligible donors will take an hour to give and support the local blood supply.” Donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with signed parental consent, and weigh at least 110 pounds. The full donation process takes about an hour, while the blood collection takes less than 10 minutes.
