CHICAGO – Former President Barack Obama is supporting Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton in her bid to be U.S. Senator. Obama endorsed the Chicago native in a video released by Stratton’s campaign, calling her a mother, a caregiver and a fighter. Stratton is vying to replace long-time Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, who is set to retire. She’ll face Republican Don Tracy and independent Whitfield Harrington Junior in next month’s general election.
