May Recognized as Healthy Vision Month

BETHESDA, Md. — May is observed as Healthy Vision Month to promote vision as a health priority in the United States. The observance is organized by the National Eye Institute. As digital screen time continues to rise across all age groups, health officials are using this month to advocate for the “20-20-20 rule”—taking a 20-second break to look at something 20 feet away every 20 minutes—to help reduce eye strain and protect long-term visual clarity.
