May is Older Americans Month

SPRINGFIELD – May is Older Americans Month, celebrating the nearly 2.9 million older adults in Illinois. The theme for 2024 is “Powered by Connection,” highlighting the importance of meaningful relationships for older adults’ health.  The Illinois Department on Aging is partnering with organizations to support older adults socially and provide resources like transportation, a vital link for older adults to stay healthy and engaged.
