KIRKLAND – The Kirkland Fourth of July Festival will mark its 78th annual celebration from July 2 through July 4, 2026, at Franklin Township Park. The three day event will feature live music, carnival rides, vendors, games, a parade and a fireworks display that traditionally draws large crowds from across northern Illinois. Entertainment this year includes Ethan Larson, Back Country Roads, Six Pack Band, Back Forward Band and additional performances throughout the weekend.
Kirkland Lions Club member Brian Reynolds said, “It is a full community celebration with music, food, rides, and fireworks all packed into three days,” and he encouraged residents to come early and enjoy the festival activities.
The event will conclude the night of July 4 with fireworks following the final performances.
