Jury Selection Continues In Byron Man Murder Trial

OREGON – Jury selection continued Tuesday in the trial of a 43-year-old Byron man accused of killing his ex wife and young son nearly 10 years ago. Half of the twelve person jury has been selected as of today for the trial which could go until the end of the month. Prosecutors allege Duane Meyer started a fire at a home in the 2000 block of Silverthorn Avenue in October of 2016, which led to the deaths of his ex wife, 31-year-old Margaret Meyer, and their 3 year old son, Amos. Meyer was charged in 2019 with four counts of first degree murder, two counts of aggravated arson and one count of concealing a homicidal death.
