Cubs Extend Their Winning Streak To 10 Games

The Chicago Cubs extended their second 10-game winning streak Friday night as they beat the Texas Rangers 7-1.

Ian Happ extended his on-base streak to 29 games with an RBI single in the first inning as the Cubs have won 20 out of their last 23 games.

Seiya Suzuki also had a 2-run home run.

Ben Brown and 3 relief pitchers combined on a 2-hitter against the Rangers.

Javie Assad got the win in relief.

Game 2 in the series is Saturday night in Texas.
