Big Boy 4014 Set To Stop In Rochelle June 2nd



ROCHELLE — Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014, the world’s largest operating steam locomotive, is scheduled to stop at Rochelle Railroad Park on Tuesday, June 2nd, as part of a coast to coast tour marking America’s 250th anniversary. The train is expected to arrive at 3:00 p.m. and depart at 3:15 p.m., giving rail fans a short window to see the historic locomotive in motion.

The tour includes more than 50 whistle stops across 10 states, along with larger public display events and a Fourth of July celebration in Philadelphia. The Rochelle stop is one of several brief appearances where the public can view the locomotive trackside.
