The Chicago Blackhawks had 2 first round picks in the NHL Draft on Friday night as they chose 2 18-year old players.
In the third overall pick, the Blackhawks selected center Anton Frondell of Sweden.
In Sweden’s Junior League, he had 11 goals and 14 assists in 29 games last season.
Frondell is 6-1 and weighs 200 pounds.
The second first round pick was 25th overall. Chicago chose forward Vaclav Nestrasil. He is 6-6 and 185 pounds.
Nestrasil was scheduled to play at the University of Massachusetts in the 2025-26 season.
The Blackhawks have 8 more picks in Rounds 2 through 7 in the NHL Draft on Saturday.
