Rock Falls Hosts Flock to the Rock Eagle Event

ROCK FALLS — Rock Falls will host the Flock to the Rock eagle-watching event Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring riverfront viewing, speakers, live demonstrations and nature-focused activities. Visitors can begin at the lower dam of the Rock River to watch bald eagles soaring above the water before attending programs at the Rock Falls American Legion, 712 Fourth Ave. Activities include wildlife photography, ice carving demonstrations, and other educational programs. The event is part of Illinois’ winter eagle-watching season, which highlights the national bird as the state celebrates the country’s 250th anniversary.
