ROCHELLE — Rochelle Municipal Utilities has opened its 2026 Residential Utility Assistance Program, offering up to $750 per household to qualifying residential customers. Households with combined gross income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines are eligible. The assistance is applied as a credit to the RMU account and is funded by the sale of renewable energy credits from the previous year. Applicants must submit a completed application, a Tri-County approval or denial letter, and identification for all household members. The program helps customers cover utility costs and is available for one household per calendar year.
