ROCKFORD — RAMP Disability Resources & Services has received a grant from Healing Illinois to support programs focused on racial and community healing. The grant will fund RAMP’s expansion of its “Intersection of Race and Disability” training series into a free, statewide online learning experience covering education, health care, mental health, employment, and criminal justice. The project will also include a live virtual dialogue session for educators, service providers, advocates, and community leaders, along with staff and board development on trauma-informed, culturally grounded practices, cultural humility, belonging, and allyship. Healing Illinois, managed by the Illinois Department of Human Services in partnership with the Field Foundation, is providing funding to nearly 200 nonprofits across the state.
